Central Melbourne Streetscapes

Nathan Alexander designed numerous streetscapes in central and inner Melbourne which helped the City of Melbourne win the 1996 Australia Award for Urban Design.
Among his most notable streetscape designs are:

• Bourke Street Mall, 1992 incarnation
• Lygon Street between Grattan and Russell Streets
• Bank Place
• Little Bourke Street between Elizabeth and Swanston Streets
• the roundabout at the intersection of Queen and Franklin Streets.
